How-to:
Color Tone A Christmas Tree
© Stephie McCarthy
Our blue Christmas tree is covered with
blue and silver ornaments and vintage cookie cutters.
But it started out as a stained white faux-tree.
Sad looking, and in need of a make over.
We stripped off the lights first.
Next, we used a large spray can of Rustoleum in aqua blue
and coated the needles with new color. It dried in just a few hours.
The newcolor is fun, but for a more natural look
we used faux-snow to soften the aqua blue.
Just a little faux-snow on the tip of each branch
made the tree look both colorful and more natural.
Adding white lights, vintage cookie cutters,
and blue ornaments came next.
Just think of the possibilities!
